  4. Why is Compassion a Faith-Based non-profit?
    1. Statistics have proven that individuals who have a faith component in their lives, live happier, healthier lives than those who do not. "Those who attend religious services at least once a week have been shown to have stronger immune system function compared with less frequent attendees." (Koenig et al, 1997)
    2. Statistics have proven that individuals who have a faith component in their lives generally learn better relationship skills and are more faithful and productive employees.
    3. Society has felt a disconnect between the church and their needs. Compassion Connection is endeavoring to bridge that gap and address the holistic (emotional, physical, spiritual and social) needs to effect life transformation. President Bush said, we must turn to our "neighborhood healers" -grassroots groups, charities, faith-based programs. "These quiet heroes lift people's lives in ways that are beyond government's know-how, usually on shoestring budgets, and they heal our nation's ills one heart and one act of kindness at a time." (George W. Bush, forward to "Rallying the Armies of Compassion.")

Connecting people with services and organizations to empower individuals to become what they were created to be, optimizing change in their lives and in our culture.

Treat one another justly. Love your neighbors. Be compassionate with each other. Zechariah 7:9b The MESSAGE
